Marmore Falls

The Marmore Falls are some of the most famous waterfalls in Italy and some of the tallest in Europe. They are situated in the Valnerina valley near Terni. These waterfalls date back to 271 B.C. in Roman times.
Consul Manio Curio Dentato ordered the construction of a channel to let water flow from river Velino to river Nera through the Marmore Falls.
